What a time we had in the greater Labadie/Maplewood/Augusta areas over the weekend!
Thank you all so much who came out to the shows, sang along, hung out with us, and participated in the Labor Day weekend fun. It’s a joy and an honor to be able to be with all of you and we look forward to the next time!
Huge thank you to the Focal Point Concerts, Augusta Harmonie Verein, and Labadie Station for having us and all of the hard work that goes into these shows.
Special shout outs go to Butch and Sandy, Betsy and Brian, Mike R, Geoff, Jim and the Focal Point crew, and Robert, Sarah, and Brian for all of the hospitalities, show help, and generally all being such wonderful people!
We’re flying into the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and ready to pounce the Labadie Station stage this evening!
It’s “hometown” show day and we are pumped! We have a brand new (speedy) Blue Canyon Boys Labadie Station shirt ready for the show and the weather is nearly perfect!
Gates open at 5, Gerard Erker of the Mighty Pines will kick things off at 6 and we hit the stage shortly after. It promises to be a fantastic evening and we can’t wait to see you all!
We’re stoked for tonight!

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.
We are getting ready to head back to the greater St Louis region for three shows this weekend. It is always one of our favorite weekends of the year and we couldn't be more excited!
On Friday (Aug 29) we will return to the Focal Point in Maplewood. Saturday (Aug 30) will bring BCB to Augusta for our first time and we are excited to be a part of the Augusta Ramble Series at the Harmonie Verein.
Sunday brings us back to Labadie for our 15th annual "Hometown" show at the Labadie Station. ![]()
Did you know that this will be the Boys second excursion to Missouri this summer? Earlier in July we were honored to be a part of the 10th annual Pickin' on Picknic in St Clair and we had an absolute hot set right off the Meramec River. If it wasn't a 30 foot drop to the river we might have dove in to cool off after the set!![]()
Here's a review (and pics) from our Pickin on Picknic set from @Glownphotography. We can't wait to see all of our MO friends and family this weekend!![]()
"The Blue Canyon Boys brought absolute magic to Pickin’ on Picknic this year ✨🎶![]()
From the moment they stepped on stage, the air shifted—you could feel that spark. Their harmonies were as smooth as river water, their picking sharp and effortless, and every song felt like it was pulling you deeper into their world. It wasn’t just music, it was a full-on experience—the kind that makes your heart race and your toes tap without even thinking about it.![]()
Looking around, you could see the impact—friends swaying shoulder to shoulder, kids chasing bubbles in time with the beat, and strangers sharing that knowing smile that says, “This is something special.”![]()
The Blue Canyon Boys don’t just play songs; they tell stories, they lift spirits, and they make you remember exactly why bluegrass has such a hold on the soul. By the end of their set, the cheers said it all—nobody wanted it to end."
We’ll be walking to our cars so we can head on uo to Estes Park for Snowygrass!
We’re playing two sets this weekend and a vocal workshop Saturday morning along with so many other great acts. Bruce Molsky, Tony Triscka, Slocan Ramblers, Pete and Joan Wernick, Chain Station, and many more!
Beat the heat, head up to the mountains, and hang out with all of us!
Is it hot where you happen to be?
We’re in Torrington, CT and it’s not nearly as hot as CO has been. We’re staying next to this place. Not too long ago it got really hot. Thankfully they’re holding the front up with a bunch of 16 ft 2x4s.
Speaking of hot, we’re suited up and ready for the Podunk Bluegrass Festival! Noon and four and a guitar workshop at 2 in beautiful green Goshen, CT.
We are super excited for Pickin' on Picknic! See ya'll on Friday at the fest!
